For events that require a higher level of reliability that that typically offered by a flyaway, Overon also operates a fleet of DSNG vehicles that offer a greater level of redundancy and protection. With a redundancy level of 1+1 (minimum) and 2+1, these units are the deal solution if you need to transmit a special news or sporting event. Each unit is perfectly equipped for live transmissions and is also accompanied by a video tape recorder (various formats available) for tape playouts. All our units are duly qualified with the main satellite operators such as Hispasat, Eutelsat, Intelsat and SES. Overon maintains agreements with these satellite operators, enabling us to offer space segment capacity at competitive prices. Overon operates a fleet of 40 C and Ku band DSNG vehicles and these can be leased by the day, week or month and dedicated to a particular customer. During breaking news stories or major sporting events, Overon may decide to deploy a DSNG flyaway to the scene in order to offer on-site playout and fully-manned live stand-up positions from anywhere in the world. Some recent key DSNG vehicle deployments: • Moto GP Circuit – Worldwide, 2004, 2005 & 2006 seasons • Death of Pope John Paul II - Vatican City, 4/2005 • Death of Prince Rainier III – Monaco, 4/2005 • Wedding of Prince Charles & Camilla – Windsor, 4/2005 • 2005 Tour de France – 6 & 7/2005 • 2006 Champions League Final – Paris, 5/2006 • 2006 EUFA Cup Final - Eindhoven, 5/2006 • 2006 FIFA World Cup – Germany, 6 & 7/2006 • Pope Benedict XVI’s visit to Valencia – 7/2006 |
